Dior "Blackout" Mascara

This is a post for the ladies.
After hearing rave reviews about Dior's Blackout mascara, I thought that I would give it a try. I usually stick to drugstore brands when buying mascara, since you do have to replace it so often. This time, I figured I'd splurge and spend the $18 (I think? Maybe a little more...) since mascara is the most essential tool in my makeup bag. Little did I know that I would get the short end of the stick and lose my job literally an hour after I bought it, but hey. It's all water under the bridge now. So that's how I came to own said mascara.
I've tried it, with the hopeful anticipation that it would give me sex kitten eyes, or at least make me look like someone with phenomenal eyelashes. I was disappointed, to say the least. I liked this mascara significantly less than my previous mascara, which only set me back $7. And now I have to live with it for 3 months until it's time to throw it away. My advice? Next time go to CVS and get the cheap, convenient mascara called "Lash Stiletto." You'll love it.

Mascara ads are so deceiving! I have NEVER gotten my eyelashes to look like they do in any of the ads, no matter which brand I try. Sorry about your job, too--double bummer!

Seriously, though! I will say that after putting more of this mascara on this morning for church, I think my public condemnation of it was a little hasty. Maybe there wasn't enough of it on the brush before, because as of this morning, it might be my new favorite mascara!

My how opinions change so fast... I'm sorry about your job. How's that going to work out with your Fall semester?

Dave-It probably won't be a problem. I'm guessing that I'll find another full-time job within a month. The field is in SUPER DUPER high demand, even in this economy. Looking on the bright side of life right now!

Hmm ... so let me know if you actually like the mascara or not. You know I was blessed with blonde eyelashes and therefore never leave the house without mascara.
